2011 Regular Visiting Hours: Every Saturday from April 30 through October 1
It is our experience that gardens can best be appreciated and enjoyed when the sun is not too bright and temperatures are more moderate. Therefore, during the cooler months of May and September, our visiting hours are slightly different from the long summer days of June, July and August.
April 30 through May
10 am – 12 noon and 2 – 5 pm
June through August
8 am – 10 am and 3 pm – 6 pm
September – October 1
10 am – 12 noon and 2 – 5 pm
We request a donation of $5 per person. These funds are used to expand our outreach and education efforts.

From the Northeast: From the green in Litchfield take Route 202 west for 4.3 miles to the stoplight in Bantam. Turn left onto Route 209 and proceed for 3 miles, at which point the road ends in a “T”. Turn right onto Route 109 and proceed for 3.7 miles to the junction of Nettleton Hollow Road (which is marked on the right as Romford Road). Turn left onto Nettleton Hollow and proceed 2.8 miles. Enter the driveway on left at number 294.
From the Northwest: From the village green of the town of Washington follow Route 47 south toward Woodbury for 4 miles, where you should look for Nettleton Hollow Road on your left. Proceed north for 1.7 miles. Enter the driveway on right at number 294.
From the South: From Route 84 take Exit 15 and head north on Route 6. Proceed for 5.2 miles through the towns of Southbury and Woodbury. At the stoplight at the intersection of Route 47 turn left onto Route 47 and proceed for 4.4 miles. Turn right onto Nettleton Hollow Road and proceed for 1.7 miles Enter the driveway on right at number 294. |
